Furano ski resort is made up of 2 ski areas, Kitanomine and Furano, both offering a variety of terrain for every ability.

Furano is perfect for beginners with wide gentle runs and magic carpets at the base of both areas. There is also a beginners area at the top of the resort, after which beginners can download. The Furano Snow School offers private and group lessons in English for all levels.

The resort is made up of 40% intermediate trails, these are long, wide and groomed to perfection, making them ideal for cruising and improving on technique.

While only 20% of the mountain is considered advanced, there is still plenty to keep you busy. With a vertical drop of over 950 metres, the mountain is steep in places. While technically tree skiing is banned, ski patrol don’t tend to enforce the rules, resulting in plenty of easily accessible side country and tree skiing. There is also some fantastic backcountry terrain and plenty of local guides to show you around.
