Breckenridge consists of an impressive 2,908 acres of skiable terrain across five peaks, connected by 34 lifts. The resort offers terrain for all ability levels (13% beginner, 31% intermediate, 56% advanced/expert).

The mountain peaks are aptly names numerically. Peak 8 is the original part of the resort and offers terrain for all abilities. This area can get extremely crowded, and it's not uncommon to see lines for the lifts starting an hour before operating.

Peak 6 is the newest area to the resort and caters best to intermediates. Experts also get drawn to the area as there's some great challenging runs to be found if you're up for a hike.

Another popular area for intermediates is Peak 7 with their inviting blue groomed trails.

Peak 9 is arguably the best area for novices looking to avoid the crowds from Peak 8. There's a decent amount of both green and blue groomed trails which also make it a great spot for those transitioning between ability levels. The higher parts of Peak 9 do contain some challenging steep mogul runs.

Peak 10 attracts the advanced/expert skiers and boarders. It's made up solely of black and double black runs.

Breck also has fantastic terrain parks which suit all ability levels. Freeway Terrain park is not for the faint hearted and boasts some massive jumps, a daunting halfpipe, and plenty of rails and boxes. Don't be surprised to see some pros showing off their skills here.
